Your Local Children’s Library

The Books-R-Us library is located in No. 18, Persiaran Matahari, Seksyen 3, 40000 Shah Alam, Selangor. This building only has one level and intended for children ages from 3 to 12 years old. This children's library offers a variety of interesting collections such as books (printed and electronic), toys, magazines and etc. By visiting this library, children can read the material in the library or borrow the material to take home. This library is open from 9.30 A.M to 4.30 P.M from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Monday and public holidays. Besides providing a variety of interesting collections, this Books-R-Us library also hosts a lot of interesting activities, especially during the school holidays. Among the activities are reading competitions, drawing and colouring contests, design competitions and so on. It shows that Books-R-Us library is not only a place to read and borrow books but also a place for fun with various things.

Enhancing and strengthening the knowledge center in educating children through relevant and quality library services and complete infrastructure also comfortable from time to time to meet the needs of children.

HISTORY

The Books-R-Us library was built in February 2019 and fully completed in September 2019. After the library decorated with beautiful wall paintings, furniture and collections, it was officially opened by the on February 24, 2020. The establishment of this library is inspired by the demands of people who love to bring their children to the library. It can seat about 100 seats for children at one time and can hold up to 3000 books. The building is strategically located in the middle of Shah Alam city and attracts the public especially children to come to the library to enjoy the facilities and services provided.
